As a Global SEM manager on our rapidly growing marketing team, you’ll be tasked with managing one of our largest and most important marketing channels; SEM. Our website is visited by millions of travelers every day as they search for the best options for their travel needs. SEM is a crucial channel for driving current and future traffic growth worldwide for the Skyscanner brand.

You’ll help drive the global SEM strategy for Skyscanner worldwide working with our regional marketing teams to implement SEM best practices, optimizations, and strategies across Google, Bing, and other search engines.

Responsibilities:

  • Help execute the Global SEM strategy, working with the SEM Global lead and regional leads worldwide.
  • Be a subject matter expert for SEM best practices, insights, and trends.
  • Manage global SEM projects that impact our SEM strategy across markets and regions such as keyword expansions, account restructures, 3rd party tools and bidding platform evaluations, attribution modeling, optimizations and testing.
  • Work with data tribes to ensure SEM is being properly measured and attributed for globally as well as assisting with data projects that impact the SEM channel.
  • Work with other paid marketing channel managers to ensure a cohesive customer experience and coordinated marketing strategy across channels.
  • Drive global growth and efficiencies within the SEM channel as needed and share key learnings and insights with regional marketing teams.
  • Work collaboratively with product and engineering tribes to ensure the proper systems and architecture is being built to support a global SEM strategy with budgets in the tens of millions of Pounds each year as well as hundreds of thousands of keywords.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing SEM accounts (preferably in-house) for large consumer brands with budgets in the £10+ million annual range.
  • Experience managing SEM accounts and strategies on a global level across multiple regions and markets.
  • Familiarity and experience with bid-management platforms (such as Kenshoo), feeds, automation tools, and rolling out or switching between tools over time.
  • Collaborative experience working with developers, data analysts, and product managers.
  • Proven track record of launching step-function increasing optimization strategies on large accounts with examples of the impacts/efficiencies driven from these efforts.
  • Proven track record of delivering against revenue and ROI targets.
  • Ability to dive deep, find root causes and solve problems.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and running detailed analysis to optimize SEM.
  • Google AdWords certified.
  • Experience with non-Google search platforms such as Naver, Yandex, and Bing is a plus.
